nurturing the idea that the Republican party is our possible salvation I'm so

and so we all need government we want it we need it we refer the government in

which we can elect our representatives and we all have an individual responsibility to choose to pay

that's all well and good but the problem in America today is I

see everybody knows quite certainly now after this political season

we all know everybody knows that the people are the source of all political

you don't get a dog there and everybody knows that but what so few people know the other side of the

by what he or she can do limited by the written word you and I can do whatever we want to do as long as there's no law

and says we can but government can only do what they're authorized to do if it's not in writing beginning with the

Constitution they can't do it and any statute that's repugnant to the Constitution is null employed okay

that's a huge difference and so we have people today uh

you know everybody everything is couched in political terms we might think our numbers are

increasing as people have become more aware of the true character of our

political parties or whatever reason we may think our numbers are increasing but

let's not forget public education has all been taken over private education and the government has decided that it's

not in its best interest to teach the children that they have the ultimate power in our society that

you know that they can you know the government is limited in what it can do

and that and that they the people are sovereign it's not in there the government has decided it's not their

interest to teach that instead they teach the children that the state is Sovereign and if you've got a problem look to the government and they're

turning out millions of kids every year and it doesn't until you get reached about 40 unless Ron Paul comes along and

gets them younger until you begin to wake up and begin to you know sort these things out so it uh

to rely your point is I think

to encourage people to rely on the electoral process is is Madness I mean

um people in government are human they suffer the same human frailties we all

suffer from the love of money and power and so forth and and uh

unconstitutional you know to invade Iraq and to have these troops around the world and do the things that we do with

our foreign policy he lost a huge block of votes a large block people who want

us over there not the least of which is aipac the American Israeli uh political

whatever committee it's an enormous influence across the country when Ron Paul says the Federal Reserve is

unconstitutional gosh you lost a big block of Voters there's a whole lot of people at work and their spouses they

work for these corporations that spring up around central banks when Ron Paul says government should be limited to

these powers that are enumerated in the Constitution and we need to downsize government teaches you know how many people work for government in this

country local state and federal large large numbers of them he lost their votes and on and on I can go every time

he mentioned the truth spoke the constantly he was the only one speaking about the Constitution he would lose a

block of Voters so he ends up with just three four five percent of the vote that's all so the numbers are against

us in terms of being able to get constitutionalists in office the numbers are against us but

again I remind you even if the numbers were not against us our rights do not depend upon the will of any majority you

know whether it's the people voting or in Congress or whatever our rights are individual rights and thing is the Constitution doesn't defend

itself so that's our job so it's important so I think our job is

to hold the government accountable is to organize an institutionalized vigilance

make citizen vigilance of government regardless of their political structures let's not get too close to any of them

as Precinct captains or delegates or whatever it is let's not get that close that we're not able to hold them

accountable you know when they step outside the boundaries that we've drawn around their power okay that's I think

know at the launching of the campaign for Liberty it is a mistake I said to him to

encourage all of those people to encourage to encourage them to rely on

the electoral process which is what the campaign for Liberty is all about it's all about trying to get the

Republican Party back to their Roots that's all it's about yeah and it ain't gonna happen it can't happen

Club and the Wildlife Federation gosh they are huge they got a big office you

know big staff and people write checks all the time and they die and they leave parts of their estate to these

organizations for the environment or for you know the wildlife well freedom is a

cause people ought to be as passionate about freedom and liberty and rights as

they are about these other things you know and we've got to organize to get to that point okay freedom is a cause now

let's get organized through these state or if someone's got a superior approach you know to getting uh to getting uh

to restoring the Republican and putting the Constitution back where it belongs and organizing the people not just for

now but for the long term if there's a superior plan then the one you've heard from me fine let's get on with it but in

the absence of one this is it and so I would encourage everybody to think this

you know put aside a lot of the other issues in your lives yes stock up with some food and things because things are

going to go rough for a while but uh but focus on this I wouldn't beg you to

he's a 18 year old college student and he read these articles he says I know what I'm going to do he's I'm going to

their face all the time you've got to be non-violent and you've got to have a mass movement you have to have a

critical mass that's the formula I'm following will we succeed it's up to you it's up to the people

if we fail then I think you're going to see some sort of South American

approach some violent approach where individuals Target other individuals whether they be judges or IRS agents or

whatever they are and they target them and take them out I mean that goes on all the time America that's how they fight Corruption

of their governments and it may come to that it would break my heart if it came to that and I'm not ready for that I

think we can do this I think you get a 15 20 million people together that's people power people power has always

worked and if people had a 15 million 20 people say we're withdrawing our support

from the government and at the same time State legislatures we're giving you this opportunity to pass these model statutes

um then that's something like that is something we we need to let the world

see not only these violations and are repeated petitions for remedy to these Grievances

and then let them see what we went through the trouble and we're only talking a few months here okay we've

gone through this trouble um of getting these delegates together discussing these issues for the world to

see documented for the world to see okay these issues will be professionally addressed debated discussed and and uh

and and then there will be a course of action decided upon for the world to see and that if the government says sorry

you know we are now um uh we've got a country where we had Hill I've been in Haiti okay and I've

seen how Hayden uh is uh I could never forget the images first of all I walked

up to the to the presidential Palace which has a fence like our White House all the way around it just to take a

picture and all the guards their weapons and point to them at me okay I said okay I'm out again all right then I

observed the Hill People up on the hill where all of the people working for government and and corporations and then

down here where all of the people inking down in existence and I said my God that's where we're heading we've got to

prevent that okay we've got Hill people and we've got everybody else and and that's wrong and so I would say we give

this a shot you may be right and we're gonna if we do this then we're justified

in whatever my Approach has always been take the appropriate Next Step what is the

appropriate Next Step where we're at today is it violence no I don't think so I think this the appropriate next step

don't think we're there yet my concern comes from the fact that I was a medic in the Army I've seen yeah I've seen

what military can do and I know we can't even open a war against our military the I've got a three-year-old and a

five-year-old daughter I definitely want to live long enough to see them have kids I don't want to be late with a terrorist and we'll find out for my

freedom and to die in the process and have my kids see me in that life but there Comes A Time just as they're

dipped in that we have to draw a line and say enough is enough if you go one by one in the Bill of Rights we have no

rights in London they've already declared war on our Constitution and on

our sovereignty when do we decide say we do this and they tell us no and don't

and we introduced this legislation and if they crack down

you know and they refuse see I've been named governor run a state

agency in one state and I run a policy office in another state I was on the ballot for governor of New York in 1994.

uh I was a full-time advisor to the U.S administrative Environmental Protection

Agency I understand government and also in an industry worked with General Electric for many years at my home

company was on an investment banker on Wall Street and I knew that scene so

I and I've been at this kind of work now since 1979 confronting government wrongdoing when they step out of line

winning a lot of cases but when you get too close to the heart of the lines of money and power you lose

um I I just think this is the appropriate next step and and I say look give it all I mean one thing the

government I've learned doesn't like is bad press and this is going to give them

a lot of fan press and will they crack down they might they may when I walk out

of here today that you may never hear of me again I don't know but it's it's something that I

Liberty is my passion and I hope it's your passion it's going to take passion

to see this thing through it's not good not saying it's going to be easy but it wasn't me it's never easy but

questions they're beginning to reluctantly accept the validity of a lot

of what I have to say and therefore a lot of what you're saying and this isn't done by simply taking the

message to the decision makers to the opinion leaders not just to your friends or neighbors

who really don't have much influence cultivating journalists cultivating the people who are close to

the halls of power and I have not almost every day with members of the Texas legislature

with England state government and after a while even if they didn't initially agree with you they began to

become familiar with to you that began to say well you know that's

his views are a little bit of hideous and credit but gee they this one makes kind of sense and that one kind of makes

sense and well maybe I could go along with that and a little by little trip by grip you move them along

and that's what it takes you can never be afraid if you will show any fear that's not confronting a wild

there that you can join and you can organize others I have one in honestly

it also organized was called a Meetup alliance called the Constitutional

compliance native Alliance that unites meetup groups all across the country and

Indonesia and to join that it serves as a convenient way for everybody to

communicate with everybody else and to begin to develop common strategies

also next weekend we're holding under the third of several

recent militia Masters we've had two already here in Texas near

the town of T in November and December we're holding the next one we're going

to hold in Oklahoma a little further to go but we wanted to

make a big showing up there so we decided to take the Texas boys up to Oklahoma

who put aside our differences on football and after that we're probably gonna have

another one here in Texas and we're trying to encourage everyone who has formed any kind of political

action group to also have a militia component believe me if the establishment gets the

word there are hundreds or thousands of local groups going out there armed and

conducting field training it has an impact we don't have to say things we

don't have to file any petitions we don't have to you know implicitly threatened anybody to do anything just

our standing up there and being there makes all the difference

who had told me when I put my gun control panel together says you know people don't read anymore

or not that many people to eat you know you can write a book it costs forty dollars how many people are going

to see that so he said if they can't read it sitting

on the you know on the potty and he says you don't have to read it so I put things in half of the floor so

you can read them very quickly and put them in your pocket you can hand them to somebody I've gone through extremes to

try to keep the price as low as possible so that you know it won't cost you

around the lake a couple of dollars each you buy a bunch of them and just give

them to people and it doesn't have everything in there but it has enough to convince someone

because they're not going to sit there I know because I I email people who are very brilliant in positions of power and

authority where my friends around the country classmates and others generals you know congressman and others they

don't have the time to read this stuff if it takes more than you know three or four minutes they're not going to read

somebody and say listen it's especially since you may not be elephant yourself you may not know all the resources this

with him at a speech before 500 a whole room full of veterans right and we were

talking about fear that was the subject we found ourselves talking about after the presentation and

um uh and I thought that that was ironic or strange here I am talking you know

about fear of front of you know 500 veterans that have been true at all but any event

unfinances a big surprise to me when I sat down one of the things we had just done was run a full page USA a us and

the USA Today to educate people about the unconstitutionality of the direct

unabortion tax on labor okay uh that was and and we were also on

C-Span we had a three and a half hour event it was covered at the five uh at the national Press Club covered by

C-SPAN so we had crashed on the scene raising these questions about the

constitutionality of direct unapportioned tax on labor anyway so we were talking about uh you know the

need to defend our rights and so forth and so I sat down and Jake Ray Davis stood up he took the

podium and and uh and he said this is the kind of heart and fearless nature

this is on camera cameras were running just a big event in general Ray Davis

stood up and unbeknownst to me he had a copy of our full-page USA Today head

with him and he said look um

when you send in your uh on April 15th send them one of these and he held up

on you start questioning their uh the constitutionality especially in the tax you can expect to hear from them

um and it's it's it doesn't go easy on those who stand up for their rights in that regard and that's why I say from

majorities never accomplish anything it's always a small it's a large enough and determined minority doing the right

and that there's a struggle going on and there are those uh two schools of thought there were those

number of people in this country who feel that the 5-4 vote in the uh House of the Supreme Court stole the election
