Starr Says "No," to deal offered by US Attorney

I just talked with Bob Starr, we have spoken on the phone three times today

already. In earlier conversations, Bob was asking me to help him make a

decison on whether to take an offer that the US Attorney offered him or to

stick it out and fight. For those of you who have not ever been in this

predicament, I can tell you it's the hardest thing you will ever do. You know

that a man is looking to you for advice, but you also know that any advice

you offer could well affect this man's life for many years. I asked Bob to

tell me the complete truth, nothing hidden. I asked ,"Are you even remotley

guilty of anything they have accused you of?" He said "no." The man was

nearly to tears, asking me why they were doing this to him, I told him I

could not answer why evil people do what they do. Bob wanted me to make a

decision for him, I told him, "I'm sorry, I cannot, but whatever you choose,

we are all behind you 100 percent." Bob's scared, scared that if he does not

take a deal, he could face many years away from his family, or worse, lose

them altogether....knowing if he does take a deal, he's admitting to

something he didn't do, not to mention losing his rights and principles.

After the second conversation he said that he was going to pray about this

and would call me back and let me know his answer. I got the call, Bob said,

"Let's fight." He explained that the reason he got into this movement was

because he wanted to help his fellow man and his country. He said the only

way he could truly uphold his beliefs and and do God's will was to fight for

what's right, not to give in, and accept what comes his way. He asked me to

let all of you know about his decision and to PLEASE keep him in your

prayers. I know that from the conversations I have had with him, I believe

and trust him completley. If there ever was an honest man, then it's Bob

Starr. I give Bob my word that myself and those I know will fight beside him

to the bitter end, even if it bankrupts or kills us all. For once the militia

has gotten a real fight, a fight that we know for sure is right, a fight that

we don't have to issue "declarations," we are playing by the rules set by the

other side and we will beat them with their own rules. No Compromise, No

Surrender.



He wanted me to give ya'll this address, he said he's going to need all the

letters ya'll can send, also he said to send jurors handbooks and other

related literature so he could pass it out to other inmates.



If any of you would like to talk with Bob, send me your phone numbers, and he

can call you collect, this will have to be approved through Nancy Lord first,

but I'll take care of the approval for you



If he's indicted, Bob's in for allot of cabin fever before his trial. Also we

are going to need every volunteer we can find to help in putting the truth

out to the public, especially the Macon area. Donations are critical, but

anyone who can do printing, anyone willing to pass out information, anyone

willing to help in anyway possible...we are going to need it. We need people

with experience in affidavits, private investigations, legal work, fund

raising, people calling congressmen....we need a small army. This man is

innocent, I'll bet my life on it. People, I beg you not to sit back and

observe, please get involved, conatct me, Mike Kemp, Harry Bibee or JJ, so we

can get you on a list for what you can do. Please don't call unless you are

dedicated to working hard, because we are not going to leave any stone

unturned, and we are going to get to the bottom of every crooked agent

involved in this case and push to have them arrested and convicted.
