Purposes
This moderated listservice is for the following:
- Exposition of the principles of constitutional republican government.
- Explanation of the provisions of current national and state/provincial
constitutions, including restatement of those provisions.
- Development of proposed constitutions and constitutional amendments,
including model national and state/provincial constitutions.
- Review of the constitutionality of official acts.
- Development of strategies and tactics for achieving constitutional
compliance.
- Organizing constitutional compliance activities.
- Collection of documentation useful for constitutional development and
compliance.
Acceptable Topics
The following are acceptable topics for this list:
- Legal briefs on constitutional issues, or contributions thereto.
- Constitutional law review articles, or contributions thereto.
- Constitutions and constitutional clauses, actual or proposed.
- Actual or proposed constitutional implementation acts.
- Constitutional educational materials. including guides, essays, and
examinations.
- Investigations of constitutional usurpations and abuses, and of the
individuals, organizations, and official acts involved.
- Suggestions and directions for achieving constitutional compliance.
- Constitutional activist organizing efforts.
- Reports of constitutional activists and their activities and situations,
and actions that may be required of other activists.
- Discussions on how to better conduct this list.
Unacceptable Topics
The following topics are important, but better confined to other lists and
newsgroups:
- Discussions and reports of nonconstitutional policy issues, events, and
personalities.
- Discussions of abuses that are already illegal under existing statutes, but
where those statutes are not being enforced.
- Reports of personalities, organizations or current events with little or no
constitutional relevance.
Unacceptable Content
- Unkind or discourteous personal remarks.
- Bigoted, hateful or racist remarks.
- Unconfirmed rumors.
- Unconstructive criticism — if you disagree, submit a better
alternative.
- Idle chat between subscribers better taken to private email.
- Copyright violations.
- Proposals for illegal or unethical actions.
- Divisive or provocative messages.
