JOHN DOE #2 IDENTIFIED: BUT CAN WE GET THE FBI TO ARREST HIM? THE STORY OF THE EVENTS THAT WILL EXPOSE THE OKLAHOMA CITY BOMBING TRUTH BY MIKE VANDERBOEGH COMMANDER THE FIRST ALABAMA CAVALRY REGIMENT CONSTITUTIONAL MILITIA JOHN DOE #2 IDENTIFIED; BUT CAN WE GET THE FBI TO ARREST HIM? NOTE: 1ACR has been assisting Glenn & Kathy Wilburn with their private investigation of the Oklahoma City bombing and the search for ALL of the killers of their two grandchildren and 166 other Americans. The analysis below is my own, and it should be made clear that I do not presume to speak for the Wilburns. The Wilburns are two very courageous Americans who have suffered much in their search for the truth. Other Oklahoma City victims have criticized the Wilburns for seeking to get McVeigh off the hook. Nothing could be further from the truth. None of the information that they or their many volunteer helpers have discovered (of which I am but one) exculpates Timothy McVeigh. McVeigh was the truck driver, and a key player in the plot. What we are after is the rest of the bombers and the murdering bastards that sent them and sheltered them after the fact. 4 December 1996 THE JOHN DOE TIMES VOL. II, No. 8 IN THIS ISSUE: "DOIN' THE CHICKENDANCE" "In the world's broad field of battle, In the bivouac of Life, Be not like dumb, driven cattle! Be a hero in the strife!" --Henry Wadsworth Longfellow: "A Psalm of Life" DEA AGENT DAVE "CHICKENDANCE" SCHICKEDANZ GETS A MEDAL FOR DOING THE IMPOSSIBLE, or, HOW TO COVERUP, LIE LIKE A DOG AND GET A MEDAL FOR IT. "Hero-worship is strongest where there is least regard for human freedom." -- Herbert Spencer, "Social Statics", 1850. "The victor will never be asked if he told the truth." -- Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf. One of the first rumors to circulate in Oklahoma City (even before the dust settled from the blast) involved the absence of ATF enforcement agents in the building at the time of the explosion. The ATF Chief Liar Lester Martz issued a statement on May 23 which claimed that ATF's Resident Agent in Charge Alex McCauley was with an unnamed DEA agent (later said to be Special Agent David Schickedanz-- dubbed by one investigator as "Chickendance") in an elevator when the bomb went off. "The elevator dropped in a free fall from the eighth floor to the third," Martz's statement reported. "The two men were trapped in the smoke-filled elevator. The emergency buttons and the phone were inoperable. On their fourth attempt they managed to break through the doors and escape from the elevator." Brave men... thrilling tale..... One problem: IT COULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED THAT WAY. As with most Oklahoma City revelations this one was first reported by the redoubtable (and often plagiarized) John D. Cash, writing in the best little newspaper in Oklahoma, the McCurtain Sunday Gazette and Broken Bow News, Sunday, July 30, 1995-- almost a year and a half ago. Indeed, after J.D.'s story, Martz backed off his original statement, and just where McCauley was when the bomb went off is (officially) still up in the air, if not the elevator. Imagine our surprise when the following article appeared in Parade Magazine: "A PORTRAIT OF BRAVERY" By Pam Proctor PARADE MAGAZINE, October 27, 1996. A powerful truck bomb ripped apart the north side of the nine-story Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, at 9:02 a.m. that Wednesday in April in Oklahoma City. The blast killed 167 persons and wounded 675 who were either in the building or in the area. Many persons acted heroically that day but five police officers demonstrated particular courage and disregard for their own safety, helping others prevent what was surely a disaster from growing even worse. For their actions, these officers will receive the 1996 Police Officer of the Year Award, given by PARADE and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). It is the first time since 1981--when four secret service men werehonored for saving the life of Ronald Reagan after he was shot by an assailant-- that the award has been shared. The recipients are: Midwest City Corporal Regina Bonny, 36; Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent David Schickendanz, 46; and Det. Sgt. Robert Campbell, 39; Sgt. Rod Hill, 46; and Officer Jim Ramsey, 27, all of the Oklahoma City Police Department. They will get the award this Tuesday in Phoenix at the IACP's annual convention. Minute by minute, floor by floor, here's how their heroism emerged: ******** ABOUT 9 A.M. ON AN ELEVATOR AT THE NINTH FLOOR. Dave Schickedanz was at his desk in the north central section of the building sorting evidence when he remembered he had a check to cash. He got on the elevator with ATF Alex McCauley. The doors closed, the elevator began to descend, and then Schickedanz heard the explosion. The elevator fell six floors before crashing a few feet above the third floor. ********************************************** TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: Now leaving aside whether the safety systems on the elevator could allow the car to free-fall six stories, has anyone calculated the physics of such a fall to a human body subjected to it? In cartoons, such victims wobble out of the wreckage bobbing all accordion-like. To a real human being, the "terminal ballistics" would be, I think, certainly disabling if not fatal. ************************************************ The story continues.... Schickedanz and McCauley used the emergency telephone and rang the emergency buzzer-- to no avail. Smoke seeped through cracks in the doors. Schickedanz grabbed the doors to pull them open far enough to wedge his body in and push them apart. He saw the number "3" a few feet below. Schickedanz eased McCauley down to the third floor and then jumped out after him. ********************************************* TRANSCRIBER'S NOTE: Sure, didn't Bruce Willis do this in one of the DIEHARD flicks? Or am I thinking Stephen Segal? Hollywood does it all the time, why not the DEA? ********************************************** Story continues.... Schickedanz said a "halo of light" guided him and McCauley to the exit door. After he escaped, however, Schickedanz returned to search for his DEA colleagues, which proved futile. He set up a command post in his car, checking on survivors, comforting families and fielding calls. Later, Schickedanz had the smoke in his lungs pumped out at the hospital. He also lost part of his hearing. He is now retired. END OF "CHICKENDANCE" SEGMENT OF STORY. There were REAL heroes that day in OKC, and the other officers honored by the IACP with Schickedanz doubtless earned their decorations and the thanks of a grateful nation. However, now that you've heard the Ministry of Truth's revisionist party line about Chickendance and his heroics, read J.D. Cash's original story and decide who's telling the truth..... McCurtain Sunday Gazette and Broken Bow News 30 July 1995 ATF'S EXPLANATION DISPUTED By J.D. Cash with Jeff Holladay Three elevator repairmen for the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building dispute the escape claim made by ATF's resident agent on the day the Oklahoma City building collapsed from bomb explosion April 19. The men, who were on the scene just minutes after the devastating blasts, told the Gazette that the ATF chief's claims were simply not possible. Because of what it said were widespread rumors that ATF agents had evacuated the Murrah building prior to the blasts, the ATF sent out a news release from its Dallas office and agent-in-charge Lester Martz on May 23 saying the allegations were "entirely false." That story also claimed that the head of the local ATF, officed at the Murrah building, was just departing the building in an elevator when the blasts occurred. "ATF's Resident Agent-in-Charge Alex McCauley was with a DEA agent in the elvator when the bomb exploded. The elevator dropped in a free fall from the eighth floor to the third. The two men were trapped in the smoke-filled elevator. The emergency buttons and the phone were inoperable. On their fourth attempt they managed to break through the doors and escape from the elevator." Pure fantasy, says repairman Duane James. He clearly recalled checking and double-checking each elevator that terrible morning just to make certain no one was trapped in one, James told J.D. Cash. Of the six passenger elevators, five were stopped between floors, their doors blown inward, prompting the safety mechanisms to freeze them in place, he said. "Once that occurs, the doors cannot be opened-- period," James said. "What I and some others did was kick in the ceilings on each of those elevators and determined that no one was in them." He said only one passenger elevator could later be repaired and operated manually, "and that one was sitting at floor level on three or four." "And it had no one in it and was, very possibly, sitting at that floor when the power went off after the blast." Certainly, it had not 'free fall', he said, nor had any of the others. He also said that he and other maintenance people also checked to see if any of the emergency switches had been tripped. Those switches limit speed and cut power to the elevator if they start accelerating too fast for some reason-- such as a "free fall," he explained. "None of those switches were tripped on any of the elevators in that building," he said. "I, along with other men with our company, checked the equipment several times." "Absolutely no elevators dropped that morning." In fact, James added, it is impossible for modern elevators such as those in the Murrah building to "free fall" or drop "unless you cut the cables because they are counter-balanced to protect the occupants from just that sort of danger." ***************************** End of "elevator magic" portion of story.... So, it's up to you gentle reader.... Is Chickendance a Hero, or a lying schmuck? Another question: Is there anything lower than a fake hero? Major news organizations are now looking into the "Miracle of the Elevator". Question: If Chickendance wasn't in the elevator, then where was he? Sources close to a certain major news organization are said to be convinced Chickendance was part of the ATF stakeout of the building--- Outside of, and well away from, the building when the bomb went off. Chickendance now stands a good chance of being the government's poster boy for "Prior Knowledge." He might even have to give back his medal. Poor baby. **************************************************************** COMING UP IN JOHN DOE TIMES: TULSA COURT TO DECIDE FATE OF LOCAL GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION INTO OKC, AND: THE PIECE OF PAPER THAT GOT GUTHRIE KILLED.
