VINCENT PETRUSKIE & THE NEW AMERICAN

VINCENT PETRUSKIE: THE LINK BETWEEN ANDREAS STRASSMEIR & "THE STAR CHAMBER"

Dictionary definition of "Star Chamber:"

"STAR CHAMBER: (Probably from the stars with which the ceiling of the room where it sat was decorated.) English History: An ancient high court exercising wide civil and criminal jurisdiction, which sat without the intervention of a jury. It consisted of the King's Privy Council sitting as a court only, with the addition of certain judges. Its broad jurisdiction was based on encroachments of the crown, esp. under the Tudors. It could proceed on mere rumor, or examine witnesses; it could apply torture. It was abolished by the Long Parliament in 1641." -- Webster's New International Dictionary, c. 1916 edition.

Modern Definition of "Star Chamber:"

"STAR CHAMBER: While exhibiting some characteristics of its classical predecessor, since the 1970s "Star Chamber" has been the nickname of a cabal of former graduates of the United States Military Academy, the United States Air Force Academy, and current and former ranking employees of the Central Intelligence Agency. So named because the heirarchy have worn "stars" on their shoulders as generals in the U.S. Military; and because they act as a "Chamber of Commerce" for mutual protection and assistance in their chosen occupations, which are arms trafficking, mercenary procurement, espionage (industrial and otherwise), political blackmail and subversion, and drug running. Members of the Star Chamber are reputed to be responsible for a variety of large-scale criminal enterprises including: running dope out of Vietnam concealed in body bags (their first venture), drugs out of Afghanistan, Iran-Contra (especially the Mena connection), BCCI, the looting of the Bayshore Bank in Miami. Star Chamber members are currently planning a number of "little wars" from bases in Costa Rica and Honduras, as well as corporate offices here in the states. Much of the arms trafficking (and drug cartel interfacing) occurs in Mexico City, Mexico, our latest narco-democracy. (NOTE: Can you say "Bahia de Cochinos?" Also, has anybody noticed how much better armed the Zapatistas are these days? AK47s, I believe.)

During the heyday of the late Cold War (Afghanistan and the Nicarauguan/Contra War) the Star Chamber profitted considerably in support operations to the CIA. ("We're the OTHER Special Forces," one is quoted as saying.) The aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union has presented the Star Chamber with both problems and opportunities. Opportunities, in that vast amounts of arms are to be had for bargain basement prices in the territories of the former Soviet Union, some of which they kindly provided to Fort Polk, LA (your tax dollars at work) Also, foreign investors in the new Russian republics require mercenaries for protection from organized crime and competing interest groups (especially in the oil fields). Problems, in that the collapse of the old Eagle vs. Evil Empire dialectic caused a dramatic drop in the need for their taxpayer-supported services.

What is required for the economic success of the Star Chamber in the post-cold war world is an inconclusive American foreign policy suited to initiating conflicts, but not resolving them. Many small wars require many small to medium arms, the kind they specialize in. Likewise, an inconclusive and ineffectual U.S. drug interdiction policy is important to them and their friends in Central and South America and in the former Soviet Union. The Star Chamber is the Maytag of money laundering operations as well, so a friendly Treasury Department helps enormously.

Key to this is a manipulatable U.S. President. George Bush was a good friend of the Star Chamber, even when the ex-CIA Director was Vice President under Ronald Reagan. Bill Clinton has been their godsend (though I doubt God has anything to do with it). Even if Clinton loses his re-election bid, the fix is in for Bob Dole as well through the good offices of William P. Barr, former CIA errand boy to Boy Clinton during Mena/Contra and now "traveling companion" of Bob Dole on the campaign. (See Terry Reed's COMPROMISED; and Washington Times, 10 July 96, "Dole Shifts Stance on Assault Weapons", page 1.) -- Vanderboegh's Loose-leaf Dictionary of Rats, Cockroaches, Snakes and other Political/Military Vermin Infesting the Republic, 2nd Edition, published by Mongoose Books, a division of Lightswitch Publishing Co., 1996

Now if all this sounds like a confluence of left- and right-wing conspiracy theories, you're right. It's sort of like "Military- Industrial Complex meets KGB Mole President." Now I'm not one to believe in conspiracy theories. I'm one of the twelve or thirteen people left in the United States who believe that Oswald shot Kennedy. I don't read SPOTLIGHT and I don't believe the fevered "Black Helicopter and Blue Helmet" variety of New World Order town criers. As a student of history, I DO believe that the Clinton Administration is infested with the most corrupt and evil set of men and women ever to plague the United States government. For reference, I direct your attention to the past three years issues of the Washington Times. To quote Hailey Barbour, "If these folks aren't guilty of something they sure spend a lot of time acting like they're guilty of something." Scandals under the Clintons have adopted a flavor-of-the-week character. But of all the scandals, known and unknown, Oklahoma City surely is the worst.

Petruskie Associates is into "international business consulting". Petruskie's income is $1.6 M per year. His business is run out of his house, and with the help of business associates who afford him assistance from their operations both within the U.S. and offshore. Petruskie, treating Strassmeir now like the tarbaby he wishes to heck he could get rid of, contradicts most everything Strassmeir has said about him. CIA? What's a CIA? Petruskie would have us believe, "Why I'm jest a po leetle ole retired AF Colonel from the OSI." Yeah, one whose specialty was "sabotage and counterintelligence" and whose business relationships with the Agency and agency fronts has been extensive for years. Will some news media type please ask Petruskie what his association was with McCoy in Nicaraugua?

So why does a guy whose specialty is sabotage and counterintelligence and whose business arrangements extend from the CIA to the Star Chamber sponsor Andreas Carl Strassmeir, ATF informant and pivot man in the Oklahoma City bombing conspiracy, into this country to commit mass murder?

WHY DOESN'T SOMEBODY WITH A TELEVISION CAMERA ASK HIM?????

INSIDE REPORT

STRASSMEIR, OKC, AND THE CIA

In the June 24th issue of The New American ("More Pieces to the OKC Puzzle"), we reported on Andreas "Andi" Strassmeir, a former lieutenant in the German army and son of one of Germany's leading politicians, and his links to Timothy McVeigh and a bizarre "Christian Identity" commune in rural Oklahoma. In that article we revealed that Strassmeir had been involved in negotiating a multi-million-dollar deal to purchase Boeing 747s for one Vincent Petruskie of Petruskie Associates in Manassas, Virginia. Strassmeir told investigator John Michael Johnston that Petruskie is "a former CIA guy who my father had known since he [Petruskie] was stationed in Berlin during the Cold War." The New American tried repeatedly, but without success, to contact Petruskie before publishing the story. Subsequently, however, we did connect with him. Petruskie confirmed parts of Strassmeir's story and disputed others. Yes, Strassmeir did write some letters for him to help purchase 747s from Germany's Lufthansa Air Lines for a client of Petruskie Associates who was starting an air cargo service in South America. But the Lufthansa deal never panned out, Petruskie said.

As for the CIA connection, "That's totally wrong," insisted Petruskie. "I'm a retired Air Force officer, that's all." According to Petruskie, he was a special agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigation (OSI), and retired as a colonel after serving from 1954 to 1975. Was he a friend of Andreas' father? "I've never met his father; we've only spoken over the phone."

How had Petruskie come to know the younger Strassmeir? Andreas arrived in the late 1980s with some other German lads for the reenactment of the Battle of Gettysburg. The German visitors had authentic period uniforms, rifles, bayonets, etc. and an amazingly detailed knowledge of the battle. But they apparently had not done their homework concerning economic realities of contemporary America and so were short of cash for living accommodations and had no credit cards with which to rent a vehicle. That is when a mutual friend put them in touch with Petruskie, who put them up for a while at his home.

Strassmeir was "a mixed-up kid, a very immature 34-year-old when he came over here," recalled Petruskie. "Andi wanted to work for the U.S. government - DEA, Justice - undercover. [He] thought his background with military and German government would help. I explained he'd need a green card, education, and set him down with some people in Washington who explained that it wasn't that simple. I think he went down to South Carolina and then to Texas to go to school."
